The purpose of our groundwater
monitoring program is to collect groundwater level fluctuations and trends.
This data will be used to assess our groundwater resources in the Plum
Creek Conservation District, determine long term trends, interpret
impacts of pumping and climate changes, evaluate water conflicts and
plan for water conservation. Plum Creek Conservation District's well
monitoring program consist of 2 programs described below.

Volunteer Well Program
This program involves a network
of individual wells that are measured quarterly. Measurements will be
provided to the owner and in addition well owners will receive an
annual water level report. We are continually looking for volunteers
to have their wells measured. If

Well Monitoring Application Form
This program involves the
monitoring of wells 24/7 using specialized equipment: solar, data
loggers and sensors. Water levels are measured every 30 minutes and sent
and saved in a data base. This is beneficial to us, because we can
observe water level fluctuations in detail.
We are looking for 3 more wells to
monitor. If you are interested
in having your well monitored, please give us a call so we can determine
if your well would qualify for this program.
